Review
Steve Gregory, as the representative of the Provincial Grand Master Tony Harrison, led a delegation of grand officers as Paul Spann was installed into the chair of King Solomon in a wonderful manner by installing master Lol Spivey at the installation ceremony of Brookfield Lodge No 5077.
Accompanying Steve were fellow grand officers John Robson, John Dutchman-Smith and David Kavanagh, all of whom were accompanied by acting Provincial grand officers David Kenworthy and Stuart Wilson, along with Chorley Group Vice Chairman Peter Allen and secretary Don Hesketh.
After the presentation of the master elect by Phil Johnson, the ceremony proceeded without a hitch. The working tools were presented faultlessly by Keith Fear, Tom Speakman and Phillip Johnson respectively.
The address to the newly installed master was given by Brian Gittins, that to the wardens by Jeff Preston and to the brethren of the lodge by Steve Gregory.
On bringing greetings from grand officers, John Robson commended the membership for their fantastic efforts in raising £4,550 for charity and congratulated the lodge on achieving its Vice Patronage of the Masonic Charitable Foundation 2021 Festival.
The occasion was marked by a presentation of the official certificate by the group charity steward Gary Smith.
Director of ceremonies Keith Fear worked tirelessly throughout the whole evening in what was a magnificent ceremony. The festive board was an excellent affair with good food and camaraderie.
